The age of the photos varies by county.
Aerial photos are taken per county request.

Why is there a black line cutting off the property that I am trying to measure?
|
| |
|
Aerial images are clipped into tiles by our imagery provider to offer the highest resolution possible.
Sometimes this causes part of a property to get cut off by the tile.
If you need to access an area that is outside of the image tile you are working with, you can click in the white area on your screen that is outside of the black edge.
The image tile in the direction you have clicked will then appear for you to work with.
When you do this, it is considered a ‘walk’.

How can I see the entire property in one photo?
|
| |
|
To see a larger, zoomed out image, click on the “neighborhood view”.
The neighborhood view is a photo taken from a higher altitude.
Click the neighborhood button on the upper right side of the screen to access the neighborhood view.
Users often have two options for the neighborhood view, a high resolution aerial option and a medium resolution satellite option.

Why do my measurements seem off?
|
| |
|
Your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) zoom level needs to be set at 100% before you start measuring.
If it is set at a higher or lower zoom level, the scale that sits under the photo and helps you obtain accurate measurements can be skewed.

Why aren’t the property lines showing up?
|
| |
|
While we have a database of over 150 million property boundaries available to our users, we do not have property boundaries for 100% of the United States.
The availability of property boundaries varies by county.
Try to use the parcel-to-parcel tool found on the toolbar (shamrock) to see if a property boundary is available for your location.
Simply click the parcel-to-parcel tool and then click on the center of the property.
Property boundaries are not available outside the United States.
